OUTSTATION OVERSEER    Paraway Pastoral Company – Davenport DownsSpringvale is the outstation of Davenport Downs, the aggregation is 1.5 million hectares of prime growing country. Springvale is located 125km south-east of Boulia in Western Queensland and is 398,000 hectares, predominantly used as the grower block for the aggregation with an average of 10,000 head of weaner steers being received from Armraynald, Gregory Downs and Rocklands each year.  These steers are grown out and moved onto Davenport the following year to fatten, destined for the feeder, export or slaughter markets.  Paraway have an opportunity for an Overseer seeking a career in a challenging and rewarding environment in the Channel Country.  Strong emphasis is placed on a positive attitude, team culture and a safe working environment. This role is ideally suited for a senior headstockperson ready to take the next step in their career in which we can support their growth and development.The role will be based at Springvale and report directly to the Station Manager, sharing the responsibility for day to day station activities required for the operation of the aggregation. As part of the leadership team at Davenport, the position may be required to represent Paraway at industry events, will supervise/ mentor staff and ensure the Station Manager is kept up to date on station activities. The ideal candidate will have a good aptitude for animal husbandry practices including core nutrition, mustering and water maintenance, be competent in record keeping and computer/technology.
