We are seeking an experienced manager to oversee the operation of Women’s Bowls NSW, guiding the strategic and operational direction of the organisation.  This role is initially for a fixed term period of 12 months and will report directly to the President and work closely with other board members.  The position is based in our Head Office in Mascot and is available for immediate start.Women’s Bowls NSW works closely with Bowls NSW Bowling Association, all other State Bowls organisations and Bowls Australia to help ensure the strong future of continued growth of lawn bowls.  In 2019, Women’s Bowls NSW had more than 15,800 members from 415 women’s bowling clubs around NSW.This is a hands on position in a small office of 6 staff with responsibilities including the following:Managing the day to day operations and administration of the office ensuring compliance is met.  This includes preparing board papers and minutes and undertaking financial duties such as payroll processing and payment of accounts.Providing daily leadership and mentoring to the small office team.Reporting to the Women’s Bowls NSW President, Board and Committees on governance and administration matters.Growing participation and membership while managing the commercial success of the organisation which includes maximising sponsorship and commercial opportunities.Liaising with key stakeholders, sponsors, government agencies, sporting organisations and service providers to promote and benefit Women’s Bowls NSW.To be successful in this role you need to meet the following criteria:Degree or diploma qualified in Business, Commerce or a related discipline will be highly regarded.Experience in a Management/Leadership role, preferably within the sporting, not for profit sectors or a membership-based organisation.Experience working with or at the Board level.Bowls experience will be highly regarded.Excellent people leadership skills.Strong stakeholder management skills.Working financial knowledge including the capability of working with financial statements.Knowledge of systems and technology.Experience working with volunteer based organisations desirable.The nature of the role will require travel to events and meetings, as well as working outside of office hours on occasions.The salary for this role will be in the range of $85,000 - $95,000 plus superannuation based on the successful candidates’ skills and experience.We are seeking experienced applicants so please only apply if you have the skills and experience we are looking for.Applications close 5pm – 19th February 2020.  Please note that Bowls Australia is managing the recruitment process for this role and all inquiries should be directed to hr@bowls.com.au.
