Paraway is one of Australia's largest pastoral land owners and operators with a total combined land holding of over 4.4 million hectares.About the roleBased in the beautiful town of Orange, NSW we are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of WHS and Risk Support Coordinator providing operational support to our WHS, Risk and Compliance Manager.The role contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring of proactive Work Health & Safety (WHS) and Risk Management strategies to help shape the WHS and Risk culture of a leading agricultural business. This is a hands on role which will require some travel.These duties include but not limited to;Support the development, implementation and review of corporate wide WHS and Risk management policies, procedures, guidelines and tools;Tracking of WHS performance measures and providing reports on WHS operations;Administer and implement WHS and Risk projects;Administratively maintain various databases and registers and provide information and data as required to ensure legislative compliance with all WHS reporting and recording requirements;Manage the workers compensation claims and assist coordinate injury prevention initiatives;Participate, as required, in the investigation of hazards, incidents, injuries or near misses and then liaise with the appropriate people to take corrective action appropriate to the situation with reference to the assessed risk;Working with our Station Managers on the ground to help embed and promote our safety culture.Skills and experienceTo be successful, you will be a strong communicator and able to naturally engage and build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.We are ideally seeking someone with the following skills, capabilities and experience;Business administration qualification / equivalent or Certificate IV in work health safety, as a minimumPrevious experience in a WHS and/or risk role, minimum 2 yearsExperience working in a WHS position for a large company is highly regardedExperience in incident investigation and return to work processes is highly regardedPrior agriculture/agribusiness work experience is preferredCurrent and unencumbered Driver’s License (essential)Valid Australian Work Rights (essential)Q Fever vaccination (desirable)First Aid Certified (desirable)Having an interest and passion for agriculture would be highly beneficial.Benefits and perksThis newly created position creates a unique opportunity for you to shape your own role as well as having the support and development needed to be successful.A market competitive remuneration package is on offer, commensurate with experience with the opportunity for travel to remote parts of the country.   • Prior agriculture/agribusiness work experience is preferred
  • Current and unencumbered Driver’s License (essential)
  • Valid Australian Work Rights (essential)
  • Q Fever vaccination (desirable)
  • First Aid Certified (desirable)
