Beacon Hill Before School Care and Afterschool Care

- Pay: $30-35 per hour depending on experience
We are seeking a kind and fun nanny to assist a busy family in Beacon Hill. The family has 2 children, a caring and mature 13 yr old boy and a sociable loving 4yr old girl. The care will mostly be for the 4 yr old.
Days and normal hours -3 days - 13.5 hours
Preferred Mon - Wed between the hours of 6.30-8.30 and 3.30- 6.00
Flexible for the right candidate
An ideal nanny will be calm, kind and caring and have a fun personality. organised and uses their initiative to help with the children and keep the household in check. You must be able to follow the children’s routine, help with getting the children ready for school in the morning, get breakfast and lunches ready and then drop to school. The afternoons will require pick up from school, take to activities (when required), play and engage and help with homework. Light household duties are required along with preparing the evening meals for the youngest child when required.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- Care for the children
- Provide routine and structure
- Take to organised activities (when required)
- Assist with light household duties i.e. tidying up after kids, sweeping and keeping the house tidy – dishes, bench tops, etc. no specific housekeeping duties.
- Assist with homework
- Prepare breakfast and lunches
- Prepare evening meal for the youngest child when required (basic cooking)
- Run errands (occasionally)
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 2-3 years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Kind, caring and fun
- Organised
- Motivated and reliable
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children’s check number
- Display strong communication skills
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Basic Cooking skills
- Full drivers licence (preferred)
