Development and Programs Manager
As a member of the Programs and Participation Team this position will roll out programs, initiatives and resources to increase participation in the sport of bowls across Australia. The position manages a small team, focused on supporting participation programs and staff. The role is based in the Bowls Australia head office in Thornbury, Melbourne.
The key functions of the role are:
- To develop and roll out programs, initiatives and resources to increase participation in the sport of bowls and improve Club operations.
- To assist in leading, managing and driving the Participation and Programs teams.
- To strengthen relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the success of Participation programs.
- To develop and drive strategies to maximise participation in Schools and Social Programs.
- Reporting and compliance for various participation roles and programs.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Experience delivering participation initiatives/programs is essential.
- Proven ability to project manage multiple projects.
- People Management experience.
- Proven ability to deliver constructive feedback.
- Advanced interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding presentation skills.
- Ability to deal calmly and consistently with demanding responsibilities and conflicting priorities from a range of customers and staff utilising standard negotiation and conflict resolution techniques.
- An ability to fit in with and form effective working relationships with a varied range of groups and people.
- Current drivers licence.
Desirable attributes include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Sport Management and / or experience in the sports industry.
The salary for this position is approximately $75,000 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation. While this role is advertised as a full time position, we are open to candidates who would be interested in a part-time or job share arrangement.
