Bowls Australia (BA) is the national sporting organisation responsible for the leadership, development and management of Bowls in Australia. We are a not-for-profit organisation governed by a voluntary board that provides the strategic direction for the sport and the strategies that are implemented by the staff at the national office. BA's members are the nine state and territory bowls associations. There are over 1,850 clubs and over 670,000 participants nationwide. BA is affiliated with World Bowls and Commonwealth Games Australia, where it is a core sport in the Commonwealth Games held every four years.We are seeking a temporary Finance Assistant for a 6-7 week period commencing in June.  We need someone to work a minimum of 20 hours up to 30 hours per week and there is flexibility in days and hours worked (either full days or part days).This position will be responsible for providing assistance with the EOY finance processes and the implementation of NetSuite.  It is a hands on role undertaking a variety of tasks and functions.Some of the duties of this role include:Data Entry.Validation and matching of data.Preparing MYOB journals.Reconciliation of accounts.Calling customers to verify information.Assisting in the set up of a new database system.To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting preferred.Experience with MYOB essential.Experience with NetSuite or similar database/CRM essential.Experience in a small finance team where tasks are fluid and ever changing preferred.Advanced skills in computer literacy.A proactive approach, strong team focus and customer service.Deadline driven with ability to work effectively under deadline.Passion and preparedness to roll up your sleeves and make things happen.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.Team player with the flexibility to assist and interact with a wide range of people.The suitable applicant will work from BA’s Head Office in Thornbury, Melbourne.  This is a temporary casual position paying $35 per hour.We are seeking experienced applicants so please only apply if you have the skills and experience required.Any questions regarding the role can be directed to hr@bowls.com.auApplications close on Friday 24th May 2019.
