You will lead a small team of project managers with varying levels of experience, giving direction, guidance and management. You will be focussed on effective financial outcomes, anticipating problems and bottlenecks, to ensure timely completion of projects within budget. You will also lead relationships with your important clients in a professional manner and mentor your team members accordingly to ensure proper outcomes with client projects and the fostering of ongoing business.A critical part of the role will also be to further develop project and contract management processes and embark on continuous improvement to ensure better project outcomes and performance reporting systems.You will be tertiary qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering as a guide and have a background that includes construction and/or project management. Of course, business management and / or contract law qualifications will be highly regarded. Your career experience should include construction, operations and/or project management of industrial or commercial projects involving a good proportion of electrical engineering and contract management. Some experience with telecommunications projects, industrial engineering projects and utilities-focussed projects will be a plus.
