We are currently undergoing significant expansion, including the redevelopment of our iconic site on the beach in Cottesloe, and are well known for providing excellence in dementia care services at our RiverSea Mosman Park home.About the roleWe are looking for three domestic/laundry assistant to join our team on a casual basis with the possibility of future permanency. What you will be doingEnsure a clean, pleasant and safe environment for residents and the wider Curtin Heritage Living Community in line with duty statements by: Undertaking routine and spot cleaning of resident, communal and work areas, furniture and equipment; Replacing paper products and other consumables; and Ensuring client laundry and facility linen is clean, appropriately labelled and stored correctly. Promote choice and independence by assisting to identify resident needs and preferences and communicating these choices to clinical staff. Work as a team to deliver consistent, resident-focused services. Ensure compliance with all laws, legislation, regulatory frameworks, quality standards, policy, processes and work instructions.  Identify and report concerns, complaints, hazards and incidents promptly and in line with continuous improvement, incident reporting and complaints processes. Who we're looking forExperience working in a service industry. Demonstrated aptitude to help improve the lives of older people. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Reliable and positive work ethic. Attention to personal appearance. National Police Clearance (current to within three-years). Working rights. Desirable:Experience working in a domestic assistance and laundry role. Experience working in aged care, community services or disability services.Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt work priorities and meet deadlines depending on the needs of the resident.Benefits and perksSalary packaging, up to $15,700 tax freeDiscounted private health care ratesFree uniform
