Gippsland Grammar has six 'GAP' positions on offer for 2020. Generally these positions suit school leavers seeking a year out between finishing school and undertaking further studies. All roles commence on Friday 24 January 2020 and conclude on 18 December 2020. The positions on offer include:Sport/Physical Education GAP AssistantThis position is primarily a sports management position. The Sports GAP Assistant will assist the Head of Sport with the organisation, management and conduct of the Thursday sports program, inter-house carnivals and interschool sporting events. They will also assist in the conduct and support of the Physical Education Program.Year 9 GAP and General Duties GAP AssistantThis position requires the GAP Assistant to work closely with the Head of Year 9 and teaching staff to ensure the aims of the Year program are met. The role includes administrative assistance to staff as well as event management and work with students. This assistant will be required to assist in the organisation and management of the Year 9 Melbourne program. Additionally, this GAP Assistant will assist in general duties, administration and excursions across all curriculum areas.Outdoor Education GAP AssistantResponsibilities for this GAP Assistant will be determined by the Director of Outdoor Education. They will be required to attend all camps and Outdoor Education programs. Time spent involved in camps will be taken into account when determining hours to be worked during school holiday periods. This GAP Assistant will also be required to assist in other areas of the School, as directed.General Duties GAP AssistantsThere may be three General Duties GAP Assistant positions offered (Garnsey, Bairnsdale and St Anne’s campuses).
