- Pay Rate: $30 per hour inclusive of super and paid entitlements
- Contract: 12 months permanent ongoing Note: Full drivers license
We are seeking a organised, calm and active nanny to assist a friendly family in Woollahra. The nanny will be responsible to care for a 12 year old girl and a 8 year old boy.
The days and normal hours over 5 days - 35 hours
Monday 7.00am - 10.00am & 2.00pm - 6.00pm
Tuesday 7.00am - 10.00am & 2.00pm - 6.00pm
Wednesday 7.00am - 10.00am & 2.00pm - 6.00pm
Thursday 7.00am - 10.00am & 2.00pm - 6.00pm
Friday 7.00am - 10.00am & 2.00pm - 6.00pm
(Same hours will be offered in the school holidays, however schedule may vary with possibility of extra hours – to be discussed.)
Note: Full drivers license required - To drive own vehicle
The nanny will be required to care for the 2 children assisting with before and after school care drop offs and pick up/activities, home work and assisting with the running of the household. An ideal carer needs to be able to engage with the children and be familiar with looking after a teenage girl. Be active, organised, disciplined, patient and calm.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- Care for the 2 children & family dog
- Drive to and/or collect from school activities when needed
- Provide routine and structure and keeping the house hold in check.
- Supervise and support after school routines (homework, activities)
- Assist with light household duties i.e. general tidying up of the main areas and assisting the children with their chores
- Grocery shopping
- Meal prep for the family
- Family laundry including ironing of school uniforms
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- Experience as a nanny or worked in childcare
- Sets good boundaries
- Be familiar with older children, a good role model for a teenage girl ( e.g. appropriate dress and behaviour )
- Speak Spanish (not essential)
- Active sports person or part of a sports club (not essential)
- Play a musical instrument (not essential)
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children check number
- Display strong communication skills
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Clean driving record
- Able to work with one or both parents as a team to keep smooth running of schedules ( one or both will likely be home as well )
- Mature, proactive, emotionally intelligent
- Children are digital–device free and TV restricted
