Services is responsible for creating, operating and maintaining public and private infrastructure which services millions of people every day and keeps communities connected and running. The Town Planner is responsible for obtaining all required town planning consents for each facility the SAED (Site Acquisition, Environment and Design) team undertakes to acquire. This includes ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws, as well as additional client specific expectations. The Town Planner is responsible for mainlining exceptional record keeping for each individual site and accurate milestone tracking. In addition to this core requirement, as a Town Planner within the Lendlease SAED team there will be an expectation to support all other members of the planning team and the wider SAED team in their endeavours.Key responsibilities include, managing individual sites from site selection through to obtaining all required town planning approvals including the preparation of development applications and where necessary managing community and stakeholder engagement, negotiating statutory approvals with Councils, updating the RFNSA, attending Council meetings etc. Additional non site specific tasks will also arise across projects in the form of process development and compliance auditing.You will hold relevant qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent and demonstrate 2-4 years’ proven experience as a Town Planner ideally within the telecommunications industry.
