Gladesville Nanny
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: 12 months permanent /ongoing - option to extend
- Pay: $30 per hour inclusive of super and entitlement
We are seeking a nurturing, kind and reliable nanny to assist a lovely and busy Christian family in Gladesville. The nanny will be responsible for the care of a very delightful and confident 3 year old girl and a and happy and content 8 month old baby boy.
The days and normal hours over 3 days – 24-26 hours
Monday 7.45am – 5.45pm
Tuesday 7.45am - 5.45pm
Wednesday 11.45am – 5.45pm
The 2 full days can be flexible though the Wed afternoon is fixed.
Additional hours may be required from time to time
The nanny will be required to care for the 2 children. An ideal carer needs to be nurturing, calm,kind and loving along with being highly reliable and active. Will need to have recent baby/toddler experience and ideally some who can adapt , follow and impose a good routine for the children. The family would like the nanny to plan and implement fun activities and engage with the children.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
Care for 2 children
Provide routine and structure
Engage and play with the children
Read Bible based stories to the children and support their learning of the Christian faith
Take to activities like ballet etc for the older child and both children to parks, library or playgroups etc when required.
Assist with light household duties i.e. general tidying up after the children and keeping the main areas of the house tidy. Empty dishwasher and bring in fold laundry etc if time permits.
Competent and Confident cook to prepare nutritious meals for the children
Cook family meals occasionally
Children's Laundry and family laundry if time permits
Run errands occasionally
Grocery shopping occasionally ie picking up essentials ie bread and milk
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
Minimum of 3 years nanny or child care experience
Childcare Qualification (preferred)
- Australian Resident or Permanent Resident
Has experience in planning fun and age appropriate activities
Impose routines
- Confident and competent cook
To have infant /toddler experience is a must
Be well presented with a neat and tidy appearance
Nurturing, calm, kind and loving
- Physically fit and active
Highly reliable and extremely safe and attentive
Support the families Christian faith
Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
Have a current working with children’s check number
Display strong communication skills and speak good English
Full Drivers Licence and clean driving record (not essential)
