We strive to provide all Victorians with skills in water safety, swimming and resuscitation, along with access to safe beaches, inland water environments and aquatic venues. We are seeking a skilled media and communications professional to support our media and communications team to deliver a range of media, public relations, government and community relations, social media, communication, marketing and promotional campaigns during the busy summer season.Your focus will be to support the timely and accurate response to reactive media and the provision of support and administration to LSV’s media and communications department to deliver in our role as an emergency service, state peak body and community educator.Key Selection CriteriaIdeal candidate: Media and communications generalist / specialist, with experience in reactive media and in the development and delivery of media, communications, PR and promotional services and strategies.  A people person, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work positively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and priorities are also required.Specific requirements: Previous experience as in a media and/or communications  area, with a sports club, emergency services or volunteer organisation would be advantageous.  You will have proven success meeting deadlines, operating under pressure and be comfortable multitasking, your time management skills will be highly developed.Personal attributes:  demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service and to overcome obstacles and 'make things happen'. You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt to the needs of the team. You will be flexible with availability after hours and regular weekends during peak season.
