About the opportunity:
We are currently seeking two experienced AIN's to step into a Permanent Part Time position in our Specialised Supported Living Team in Yagoona. On offer is:
- 1 x 68 hours per fortnight
- 1 x 40 hours per fortnight
Typical duties may include:
- Providing quality nursing support to customers with complex health needs and intellectual disability
- Promoting improvement in quality of life and fostering independence for people with disability
- Supporting customers with personal care and hygiene
- Supporting customers to access the community, attend appointments and day programs
The right person for this position will possess:
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our customers
- Proven experience in the disability field, supporting customers with complex health needs and intellectual disability
- The ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their individual care plans, as appropriate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster; you will be required to work across morning, afternoon and active night shifts, including weekend and public holiday shifts
- An Australian driver's licence, Provisional or C class with confidence to drive a wheelchair accessible van (equivalent to a 12 seater)
- Tertiary qualifications
- NSW Working With Children Check
- Evidence of compliance with any Public Health Orders applicable at the time – including evidence of a COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindication certificate if applicable to you.
- NDIS Worker Check.
- A Current First Aid & CPR with units of competency HLTAID011 & HLTAID009
