Northcott is currently looking for a committed, friendly and professional AIN to join our Specialised Supported Living Team in Bungarribee on a Part Time basis, 58 hours per fortnight*. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to actively support the individual needs of our customers and support them in reaching their goals.
*Note: pay rate is determined by total hours worked as an AIN.
Typical duties may include:
- Providing quality nursing support to customers with complex health needs and intellectual disability
- Promoting improvement in quality of life and fostering independence for people with disability
- Supporting customers with personal care and hygiene
Essential criteria - the right person for this position will possess:
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our customers and the ability to develop positive relationships
- Proven experience in the disability field, supporting customers with complex health needs and intellectual disability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster; you will be required to work across morning, afternoon and active night shifts, including weekend and public holiday shifts
- An Australian driver's licence, Provisional or C class with confidence to drive a 12 seater wheelchair accessible van
- Tertiary qualifications
- NSW Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Check
- Current First Aid & CPR with units of competency HLTAID011 and HLTAID009
- Evidence of compliance with any Public Health Orders applicable at the time – including evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations or medical contraindication certificate if applicable to you.
