They will manage educational learning programs including curriculum development, staff development, pedagogical approaches and integration of learning and student pathways.About the positionThis position is a permanent position based on the Secondary Campus and reports to the Head of Secondary.The responsibilities of this position are:to lead the ongoing development and implementation of our Pedagogical and Curriculum Framework which informs our whole College approach to teaching and learningto lead a systematic approach in reviewing the quality of planning, teaching and learning, resources, assessment and reporting practices within years 7-12to lead the Instructional Deans team, and to work collaboratively with the Instructional Deans to assist in maintaining consistency across key learning areasto lead the incorporation of evidence-based practices and innovative learning methods into classroom pedagogyto monitor student learning and achievement, using data including NAPLAN results and student GPAs, to inform changes to planning and teaching practices and improve overall student learning outcomes, and to work collaboratively with Year Level Coordinators and Instructional Deans to track student academic progressto oversee and lead assessment and reporting (including exam schedules and processes)to organise and facilitate parent-teacher eveningsto lead all QCAA interactions, including assessment submissions, student results, moderation contact, and provide quality assurance of Australian Curriculum implementation across the Secondary schoolto provide and/or organise professional learning for Secondary staff in the strategic priority areas (including a peer-review program), and to improve delivery of educational programsto oversee Year 7-12 SWAN/SEE student progress and support systemsto oversee Year 7-12 NCCD and verification reviews and submissionsto ensure the College meets ACARA obligations and requirements and advise where any corrective action is requiredThis role will maintain a teaching load of one senior class allocation only.
