There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.Perform composites manufacturing tasks to the highest industry standardCarbon pre-preg layup with particular attention to detailOperating filament winders (training provided)Identify and solve issues as they ariseContribute knowledge and experience to develop quality parts with ever increasing efficiencyTrim and finish composite parts and assembliesAssemble structures including setup, bonding, and fastener applicationsRepair composite defectsHandle and dispose of hazardous materials in line with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirementsDevelop standard operating procedures for frequently performed composite manufacturing processesDevelop and communicate timelines for the fabrication and integration of composite structuresWork with Engineering to design and manufacture jigs and tooling to support the efficient manufacture of composite partsOccasionally work late to ensure certain jobs are completed correctly on the day they are started Skills and Experience:Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Trade qualification in Polymer Processing, Composite Technician or similarMust be capable of obtaining and clearing a NV Level 1 Security Clearance Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:We recognise you may not meet all of the below, but don’t let that deter you. How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

  • Perform composites manufacturing tasks to the highest industry standard
  • Carbon pre-preg layup with particular attention to detail
  • Operating filament winders (training provided)
  • Identify and solve issues as they arise
  • Contribute knowledge and experience to develop quality parts with ever increasing efficiency
  • Trim and finish composite parts and assemblies
  • Assemble structures including setup, bonding, and fastener applications
  • Repair composite defects
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in line with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Develop standard operating procedures for frequently performed composite manufacturing processes
  • Develop and communicate timelines for the fabrication and integration of composite structures
  • Work with Engineering to design and manufacture jigs and tooling to support the efficient manufacture of composite parts
  • Occasionally work late to ensure certain jobs are completed correctly on the day they are started

 

Skills and Experience:

Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Trade qualification in Polymer Processing, Composite Technician or similar
  • Must be capable of obtaining and clearing a NV Level 1 Security Clearance
