There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do. Applies practical knowledge of telemetry engineering to the design and installation of flight test instrumentation e.g. selecting and operating sensors such as:  accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, and pressure transducers on space-based vehicles.Develop pulse-coded modulation (PCM) data acquisition systems and data reduction hardware (e.g., bit syncs and decommutations).Design and develop features for the python-based RF automated testing system.Systems engineering TT&C tasks from SRR through to delivery of payloads to orbit.Design, develop and manage the system-level Telemetry Database.Coordinate an integrated telemetry database solution between various technical teams.Diagnose problems in-the-field with telemetry product line hardware and software.Support local and off-site testing operations, including configure, operate, maintain and test computer-based electronic data reduction and telemetry equipment used to acquire, process and display flight-test data - both in real-time and post-mission.Perform other technical functions as required, to include system installation, modifications, troubleshooting and corrective actions.Providing experienced engineering guidance and oversight in troubleshooting and investigating anomalies.Developing test reports and other verification documentation.Maintaining configuration management and traceability of Telemetry hardware.Ability to work independently.Other duties as requested by Management Minimum Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechatronics, Avionics, Electrical).5+ years of experience performing systems activities including Telemetry, Tracking and Command (TT&C) formats for complex developmental projects within the aerospace industry.Experience with the specification, design, build, test and operation of telemetry, telecommand (e.g., drones, UAVS, etc.) and other RF systems.Familiarity with data acquisition systems for aerospace applications.Sound understanding of systems engineering processes and requirements verification.Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and ability to mentor and provide direction for more junior engineers.Ability to execute to schedule and drive tasks to completion and briefing leadership on progress and outcomes.Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining an Australian Government NV Level 1 Security Clearance. Desired Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceWe recognise you may not meet all of the below, but don’t let that deter you.
