An exciting new opportunity has emerged for a Facilities Manager to help take Australia to orbit by proactively managing all Gilmour Space facilities so that they best serve our mission of providing affordable and reliable launches to Low Earth Orbit . . . and beyond.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive, they represent examples of the work performed by this position. You will be required to perform other duties within your skills and abilities.

  • Management of cleaning/janitorial services
  • Management of waste collection services
  • Collaboration with senior management team in locating and selecting new facilities as needed
  • Selection and ordering of furniture/desks/chairs/etc for our facilities

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or other technical discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience negotiating contracts and comparing service costs to achieve maximum value
  • Experience coordinating with third-party vendors
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience with asset management software
  • Knowledge of building management and automated facilities monitoring systems and processes, such as: HVAC systems, fluid plumbing systems, fire suppression systems, generators, or fuel storage systems
  • Acute attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work independently with little direction
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to anticipate needs and develop innovative solutions for continuous improvement
