There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.Ensure all operational requirements are carried out in line with company expectations, cost-effectively and on time.Manage all site maintenance requirements in in line with company policies and procedures.Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices within the domain of Production (ERP, Supply chain etc.).Actively work with and consult with relevant people and departments to ensure production output is achieved.Work with Leads, Supervisors and Managers where they have direct line control on operational/compliance activities and provide guidance in line with Gilmour Space policies and procedures and legislative requirements.Identify key areas affecting efficiency in production rates and implement strategies to ensure achievement of targets.Measure and record production data so that improvement can be measured and controlledFormulate strategic and operational objectives for direct reports in line with company road map.To perform quality control of Gilmour Space products, processes, and services as required.Ensure production KPI’s are monitored, and variations are reported to senior management.Work with the Human Resource Department in the recruitment and training of employees.Work closely with relevant stakeholders in the development of standard operating procedures.Ensures that the leadership team and stakeholders are kept informed of projects, plans and any variations.Maintain high standards of housekeeping and where poor systems impinge on this, review and change so that improvement can be achieved.Other duties as requested and reasonably required by Management. Your role as a supervisor:Along with the above responsibilities as a supervisor you will be required to assist in supporting the team on our mission to space through activities listed below:Provide leadership, motivation, and direction in the day to day running of the Manufacturing team, ensuring it is supervised effectively by setting clear targets/KPI’s and monitoring these in line with expectations.To manage performance of the team, ensuring that any shortfalls in performance are managed and reported to the Deputy Head of Production.To ensure all workers are inducted and operate to the company’s policies/procedures including casuals, contractors & visitors on site.Ensure toolbox meetings are conducted in line with Gilmour Space requirements. Minutes of meetings should be taken with items raised, actioned in a thorough & timely manner.Ensure employees work in line with company policies and procedures.To complete Performance Appraisals in line with Gilmour Space policy and procedures.To ensure that the team receive adequate training and development necessary to meet the needs of the business. Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Tertiary qualifications in production, engineering, technical or related fields.3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Desired Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceWe recognise you may not meet all of the below, but don’t let that deter you.
