In this role, you’ll be working with our engineering teams, understanding how we build our spacecraft and developing the tools to make Australia an enduring global competitor in Space technologies.Duties and Responsibilities:The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive, they represent examples of the work performed by this position.Cloud and self-hosted Full Stack web developmentAssisting development of Ground Software used for test/launchIntegrating software with 3rd party engineering tools (CAD, Altium, MATLAB, etc.)API development for integrating Engineering Management tools (Duro, ION, Xero, Valispace, etc.)Developing prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.Building tools for the engineering and development teamsAll aspects of DevOps, including workflows, data management, application development and service delivery.Mentoring of junior engineers and technical guidance for the rest of the team.Other duties as requested by Management.Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:3+ years software development experience.Experience using JavaScript/TypeScript with frontend frameworks (React or Vue.js).Experience developing backend applications (C/C++, Node.js or Golang)Experience with relational (SQL, Postgres, etc.) and non-relational database (mongo, DynamoDB, etc.).Demonstrated experience with scripting languages (Bash or Python).Familiarity with DevOps principles (CI/CD pipelines).Experience developing cloud-based apps for AWS or Azure.Demonstrated experience with version control systems (Git).Strong experience with Linux.Experience architecting and implementing software applications.Must be capable of obtaining and clearing a NV Level 1 Security Clearance.Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Degree qualification in Software Engineering.Experience using serverless architectures.Experience with Docker and containerization.Understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals.Understanding of Inventory Management and Production Systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.Policies and ProceduresAll Gilmour Space policies and procedures form part of all Employees’ terms of engagement and position descriptions. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Full Stack Software engineer to join our engineering team. Building a rocket and satellite is a challenge, building lots of rockets and satellites is a revolution. We’re looking to find the individual who can help develop the cutting-edge software to make this a reality. In this role, you’ll be working with our engineering teams, understanding how we build our spacecraft and developing the tools to make Australia an enduring global competitor in Space technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cloud and self-hosted Full Stack web development
  • Assisting development of Ground Software used for test/launch
  • Integrating software with 3rd party engineering tools (CAD, Altium, MATLAB, etc.)
  • API development for integrating Engineering Management tools (Duro, ION, Xero, Valispace, etc.)
