This position is full time, Monday to Friday.About the OpportunityThe Safety Advocate will be responsible for supporting and advocating in a culturally safe manner with, and for, women and children that are experiencing family violence, ensuring they are provided with a comprehensive support service.  This support will include facilitating and making warm referrals to other services and offering one-on-one support where needed.As a Safety Advocate you will undertake intake and risk/needs assessment to support clients in maintaining safety.  You will engage clients, building trust, and aiding in the planning, implementing of case management strategies.As part of the role, you will also maintain relevant documentation, verbal and written reports and internal and external data collection as required. Requirements of the role:For this role a Tertiary qualification or Diploma in social service or approved equivalent is necessary. Ideally you will have significant experience and knowledge working with DV, men who use violence, and the survivors of family. You should be familiar with working within Western Australian Family and Domestic Violence Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework.You will need strong communication skills to build positive and meaningful relationships and networks with other supporting services and clients. You will show a commitment to Hopes values and working safely.
