To ensure the work we do is accessible to the clients we serve, we have adopted a peer frame work.As a Peer Worker you will work closely with the Counsellor and Prevention Officer to distribute information/resources about services Hope offer and encourage uptake.  The Peer Worker helps to ensure that services are culturally competent, and they have strong links to the community they work in. In this role you would carry out non-clinical, practical support tasks such as helping patients to travel to their appointments and assist with filling out forms and understanding instructions. With support, you will be able to advocate and provide feedback to the Primary Health Networks regarding barriers to services. In this role there will also be outreach services to nearby regions.We are also recruiting for this role in Esperance, Kalgoorlie and Karratha. So please indicate which location suits your lifestyle.About you:This role requires that you have a past experience of recovery from substance misuse or addiction and are currently living well.To be successful in this role you will promote, participate in, and contribute to a supportive team environment. In this role you will work collaboratively with community members and a range of health professionals, including specialists, GPs, nurses and allied health professionals.
