You will support young people to achieve positive outcomes in the areas of;- Rehabilitating into the community- Emotional wellbeing, and counteracting negative peer influences- Education/training and employment - Key life skills in health and developmentYou will be meeting with young people to plan and facilitate programs focused on their specific needs.  You will act as an advocate for the young people in community by building a relationship based on trust and supporting them through challenges they face. This support may come in the form of providing information around the services and resources available or liaising with stakeholders such as teachers, social workers, local authorities, health professionals, refuge workers and parents, when relevant to the young person's YJS care plan. Requirements of the Role:You will be a passionate, empathic, and caring individual who is experienced in working with young people at risk, ideally in a regional/remote setting. You will need strong communication skills to build positive and meaningful relationships and have a broad understanding of the challenges young people face around mental health, drugs and alcohol and living in regional Australia.
