Program Manager
The Program Manager’s role is pivotal to the successful execution of projects in APAC. The PM is an integral member of Professional Services (PS) working with stakeholders in Sales, R&D, Product Management, engineering, operations & finance. The PM will engage with relevant internal & customer departments, 3rd parties and partners to drive projects to completion. The PM will have proven Telecommunications, Networking, Carrier Ethernet & IP as well as application assurance technical background and will demonstrate creative skills in working through issues to ensure projects stick to schedule and budget. The PM will possess experience in managing various project stakeholders delivering generally available software, bespoke custom software and leveraging deployment teams to execute project delivery in multiyear phased projects.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director of PS, this role will be responsible for successful completion of multi-million-dollar projects, covering all aspects including pre-sales, deployment, acceptance, and post sales.
- The PM will own & co-ordinate the entire deployment process through to operations mode.
- This is a "MAKE IT HAPPEN" role & involves working with customer stakeholders, 3rd parties in planning projects, coordinating activities, & creatively solving issues that would otherwise impact revenue targets.
- Project administrative tasks as per PMO guidelines. Critical focus on executive reporting and real time status updates.
- Comfortable with daily customer interactions, including delivering presentations Write reports, technical answers to questions and manage collection of information from our solutions.
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the technical services delivery process.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree. >6 years Technical Program Management experience with large telco/enterprise customers.
- Experience with Ethernet, IP & application assurance products are mandatory. (e.g. Ciena, EXFO, Infovista, Viavi etc.).
- Hands on engineering experience plus SaaS experience with practical understanding of cloud computing.
- Strong statistical and analytical abilities.Independently work with software development teams, proficient in development processes and techniques.
- Ability to understand, compile, evaluate, and present complex data and solutions.
- Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution preferred (PMP or similar).
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods. Attention to detail.
- Demonstrable experience managing multimillion-dollar complex technical projects.
- Passionate and self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines.
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.
- Must possess a strong focus on customer service and be able to establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Takes initiative. Communicates and focuses on timely information sharing with stakeholders.
- English - Strong written and verbal communication skills – mandatory.
- Must be able to maintain a functional home office.
- Ability to work in a global capacity sometimes straddling time zones.
