Set in the New England Region of New South Wales and about 40 mins from Inverell is Paraway Pastoral's
Newstead is 4964 Ha and predominantly finishes a large portion of Paraway’s Angus and Wagyu turn off from its breeding enterprises in Central NSW, while also providing a grass finishing option for Northern cattle as well as trade cattle and agistment for external clients.
We are seeking self-motivated and hard-working
Station Hands with an eagerness to learn and acquire new skills and who are eager to start or progress their career in agriculture on a large-scale pastoral enterprise.
It would also be ideal if you had some of the following skills, experiences or interests:
- experience in cattle handling and livestock welfare
- experience in working dogs
- some understanding or interest in grazing and pasture management
- competence in operating farm machinery
- competence in basic record keeping and an eye for detail.
We want our people to be successful in their roles so the chosen applicant will be provided with training and development opportunities and supported by a highly experienced team and manager.
Most importantly we are seeking someone with a positive attitude, good work ethic, is a strong communicator, enjoys working in a team environment and is keen to learn.
On farm accommodation and utilities provided with a competitive rate of pay, commensurate with experience will be on offer.
Candidates will be required to undergo background screening including reference checking and ideally will be vaccinated for Q Fever. Vaccination for Covid 19 is essential.
