Elizabeth Bay, Sydney Part Time Nanny

- Contract Length: 12 + months permanent/long term
- Pay: $35-40 per hour depending on experience
A happy and loving family in Elizabeth Bay are seeking a calm, nurturing and responsible nanny to assist care of their newborn baby boy (2 months old).
The days and normal hours are:- 4 days - Up to 32 hours per week
Monday 8am - 6pm
Tuesday 12pm -6pm
Wednesday 8am - 6pm
Thursday 12pm - 6pm
An ideal nanny would be experienced, warm, calm and nurturing. A nanny that is friendly and is happy, playful and interested to actively engage with the baby which will help the baby’s growth and development.
The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys their role as a nanny, is patient, honest, safe and responsible and is able to care for the baby and household throughout the day.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young/new born babies is highly important for this role.
The nanny must be comfortable with the parents being at home.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the baby
- Follow the baby’s routine
- Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the baby’s development.
- Take the baby out for walks /park playground
- Light household duties.. keeping kitchen clean and tidy after use. Any extra assistance you can provide the family will be greatly appreciated.
- Wash and sterilise bottles
- Family Laundry
- Grocery Shopping (Occasional)
- Feed the dog
- Prepare and cook a family meal on Mondays and Thursdays
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Young baby experience (Below 6 months of age)
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working with Children’s Check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English.
- Non smoking
- Up to date with all vaccinations
- Able to cook
- Fit, healthy and active
- Comfortable with dogs
