As we continue to grow and enhance our services, this role is vital to ensuring that our governance processes are robust, compliant, and aligned with our strategic goals.About the Role:In this pivotal role, you will oversee the governance and secretariat support for Playgroup SA’s Board, ensuring our compliance with statutory obligations and providing expert advice on risk management, corporate ethics, and governance.You will work closely with the CEO and Chair to facilitate effective board operations, manage strategic communications, and support the integration of strategic initiatives into board discussions. You’ll also be involved in contributing to organisational strategic initiatives and projects from a governance perspective.The role also involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating meetings and taking minutes, and fostering collaborations that enhance Playgroup SA’s visibility and impact.Hours of work are flexible though attendance at Board meetings is essential, which means that some evening work is required. The position is for an initial fixed term to the end of June 2025, with the potential for extension beyond this time.About you:You’ll have a strong understanding of corporate governance principles and compliance, particularly within the non-profit sector. You’ll be able to support strategic planning and implementation, ensuring governance structures align with organisational objectives.
