ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Milling Operator at Grassdale you will play a key in achieving cattle performance targets through the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the successful running of the steam flake mills to produce high quality flaked grain for our feedlot rations.
- Operation of package boiler including startup, shutdown and operational sampling requirements
- General repairs and maintenance to milling infrastructure (Greasing, hanger bearing, belt tracking and minor maintenance repairs)
- Ensuring that department hygiene and general cleanliness is held to a high standard
- Operation of Reverse Osmosis plant and water treatment
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in milling environment is an advantage
- You demonstrate experience in feed production, milling position or feed batching (or similar)
- You’re mechanically minded with the ability to problem solve on the fly
- Demonstrated effective verbal communication
- Ability to work cooperatively with the team to achieve requirements of the tasks and activities required in day-to-day operations.
