How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.
- Lead the team in carrying out assignments associated with assembly and test of rocket parts, components, and interfaces for electronic and mechanical systems
- Set up and operate test equipment, including multi-meters, current probes and break out boxes in lab and clean room environments
- Ensure hardware testing is completed using written procedures and or work instructions
- Preparation of technical reports as required
- Evaluate and understand engineering (CAD) drawings and models, verifying dimensions and ensure implementation according to specifications
- Evaluate and understand engineering specifications, verifying application and ensuring implementation
- Ensure all parts are properly aligned and fitted in accordance with specifications
- Ensure quality control standards are adhered to at all times
- Coordinate with team members in solving technical problems as they arise
- To communicate with all managers and team members to ensure positive working relationships and adherence to the daily operational requirement
- Ability to accommodate work at both the manufacturing site and Bowen Orbital Spaceport
- Ability to off-hours work, as necessary, during certain build phases
- Other duties as requested by Management
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in a similar role
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred

- Experience of working on Gilmour Space Technologies products
- Experience of utilizing Gilmour Space Technologies processes
- Experience of utilizing Gilmour Space Technologies systems
- The ability to work independently and part of teams.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with the proper usage of mechanics hand tools & power tools
- Industry experience preferred
- Experience with design software a bonus: AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, OnShape etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
