Teacher Aide - Pre-Preparatory

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Aide to join our vibrant Pre-Preparatory team in January 2025. As an integral part of our early learning community, you will play a key role in nurturing and supporting children during their foundational years, fostering a love for learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Full Time Term Time
Monday – Friday
8.00am – 4.00pm
Induction Date: 21 January 2025
The Teacher Aide provides teachers and students with a high level of classroom assistance and support across the Pre-Preparatory School. The position actively supports identification and delivery of the Centre’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and acts as an ambassador for St Hilda’s Pre-Preparatory.
The successful applicant must hold a Paid Blue Card and be willing to have their name submitted to the Anglican Church’s Professional Standards Register and be able to support the Anglican ethos of St Hilda’s School and Code of Conduct.
The successful candidate must possess the following requirements:
- Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma of Education Support, Certificate III or IV in Education Support
- Demonstrate an understanding of the educational, social and emotional needs of children, including those with learning needs
- Experience working with children who possess different abilities, pace of learning and learning styles
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents
- At least 3 years experience working in a school environment (kindy/preschool experience) is highly regarded
- Be willing to take on professional development and attend team meetings as required
