Gregory Downs Station is a large-scale breeder operation 100km south of Burketown in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Covering 266,000Ha and comprising of 30,000 brahman cattle.We are Looking for a motivated and organised individual to take over the bore run in 2025. Based in a fantastic location with the Gregory River behind the homestead (think Barramundi fishing) and running right through the middle of the property. Gregory Downs Station is part of a thriving community and heavily involved with local social activities. On Station there is mobile phone reception and a recreation club, with modern comfortable single or double accommodation and potential work for partner.As a Bore Runner you will be required but not limited to:Check watering points, start pumps including solar pumps and Kubota enginesCheck tanks and turkey nest levelsClean troughs and maintain fences around water pointsRepair and maintain poly lines and pumpsMonitor cattle and lick tubs and report any issues to managementOffering a daily rate of pay to match your experience and qualifications along with full board and cooked meals plus the chance to be a part of an engaging and supportive team.Candidates may be required to undergo background screening, including reference checking and ideally be vaccinated for Q Fever.   • Check watering points, start pumps including solar pumps and Kubota engines
  • Check tanks and turkey nest levels
  • Clean troughs and maintain fences around water points
  • Repair and maintain poly lines and pumps
  • Monitor cattle and lick tubs and report any issues to management
