How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

- Leading a team of the Flight Safety Engineers
- Maintaining the company’s SQE certification
- Facilitating Risk Hazard Analyses
- Facilitating Orbital Debris Assessments
- May require taking on Responsible Engineer (RE) status of the Flight Safety System
- Supporting the development of Flight Safety Subsystems
- Engaging and coordinating with Range Safey
- Engaging and coordinating with external regulatory agencies
- Supporting the development of Engineering Management Processes and Tools
- Ensuring that engineering activities are conducted and documented in accordance with Gilmour Space policies, plans and procedures
- Other duties as requested by Management
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a relevant qualification
- Junior Lead: 2+ years of engineering experience (excluding internships)
- Senior Lead: 5+ years of engineering experience (excluding internships)
- Senior Lead: Maintains or is eligible for CPENG and RPEQ
- In-depth understanding of Traditional and Modern Systems Engineering practises
- Proven ability to operate in dynamic, fast paced environments
- Demonstrated resilience in high stress situations
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible
- Compliance with the Defence Trade Controls Amendment Act 2024
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Formal Systems Engineering Training
- 2+ years of design engineering experience
- 5+ years of System Engineering experience
- 5+ years working in the aerospace industry
- In depth experience with industry standard Flight Safety Standards (RCC-319, etc.)
- In depth experience with Australian Flight Safety policy (Flight Safety Code, Launch and Returns Act / Rules, etc.)
