How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

  • Contributing to flight safety across all company programs and products
  • Supporting to maintain the company’s SQE certification
  • Performing Risk Hazard Analyses as required
  • Performing and contributing to Orbital Debris Assessments as required
  • Supporting the development of Flight Safety Subsystems
  • Engaging and coordinating with Range Safey
  • Engaging and assisting prepare information for external regulatory agencies
  • Ensuring that engineering activities are conducted and documented in accordance with Gilmour Space policies, plans and procedures 
  • Supporting the Team Lead as required
  • Other duties as requested by Management
Mandatory Qual ifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a relevant qualification
  • Proven ability to operate in dynamic, fast paced environments
  • Demonstrated resilience in high stress situations 
  • NV1 Security Clearance eligible
  • Compliance with the Defence Trade Controls Amendment Act 2024
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Formal Systems Engineering Training
  • 1+ years of design engineering experience
  • 1+ years of System Engineering experience
  • 1+ years working in the aerospace industry
  • Exposure to industry standard Flight Safety Standards (RCC-319, etc.)
  • Exposure to Australian Flight Safety policy (Flight Safety Code, Launch and Returns Act / Rules, etc.)
