How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

  • Supporting other manufacturing tasks as dictated by the needs of the business

Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Level 3 Trade qualification
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • 2+ years in a similar leadership role
  • NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred

Supervision and Leadership 

  • Provide leadership, motivation, and direction in the day to day running of the machining team, ensuring it is managed effectively by setting clear targets/KPI’s and monitoring these in line with expectations
  • To manage performance of the team, ensuring that any shortfalls in performance are managed and reported to the Operations Manager
  • To ensure all workers are inducted and operate to the company’s policies/procedures including casuals, contractors & visitors on site
  • Ensure toolbox meetings are conducted in line with Gilmour Space requirements Minutes of meeting should be taken with items raised, actioned in timely manner
  • Ensure employees work in line with company policies and procedures 
  • To complete Performance Appraisals in line with Gilmour Space policy and procedures
