
Academic Support Officer
Marist Sion College is situated in Warragul, Gippsland. Warragul is a thriving rural town set amongst rolling green hills and dairy fields, on the lands of the Gunaikurnai and Bunurong People. It is 102 kilometres south-east of Melbourne, accessible directly form the M1 freeway and lies between the Strzelecki Ranges to the south and Mount Baw Baw Plateau to the north. The town is the main population and service centre of the West Gippsland region and has a population of over 20,000.
About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Academic Support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in education administration - with a willingness to learn!
In this role, you’ll support the Academic Support Coordinator across a range of areas, including:
- Assisting with SIMON (our learning and student management system)
- Helping to organise student timetables and subject selections
- Supporting examination and testing processes like NAPLAN and VCE
- Learning to manage data entry and compliance through VASS
You'll gain hands-on experience with key educational platforms and systems, all while being supported and trained on the job. If you're reliable, tech-savvy, and ready to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
Employment Type: Part time, Fixed term (2025 year)
Work Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8.30am to 4.36pm
Commencement Date: Immediate start available
