The CPSU/CSA is a progressive Union that predominantly represents members employed in the WA public sector, including agencies employing under federal agreements. The Union assists members and delegates by organising around collective issues, training on employment issues and members concerns, giving advice through its call centre and providing representation in the WAIRC and Fair Work.
The CPSU/CSA is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to assist its advocacy team, the Industrial Services Group which consists of Industrial Officers, some of whom hold legal practising certificates. The Research Officer is required to undertake research to assist Industrial Officers, Industrial Advisors and the Coordinator of Membership Services with industrial matters that are of importance to the Union.
This position may be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis (to the right Applicant). This position may be suitable to those currently studying (in disciplines such as law, commerce, industrial relations, politics ect) and who want to do this role on a part-time basis. The role
As a Research Officer you will work closely with the CPSU/CSA staff, members and workplace leaders by providing information to facilitate strategically collective negotiations for agreements or for settlement of disputes.
