
Project Coordinator - Culture & Wellbeing
Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.

We’re thrilled to offer a unique part-time opportunity for a Project Coordinator– Culture & Wellbeing to join our Shared Services team. This role, based at our Port Melbourne Head State Office, working closely with the People and Culture team and the Strategic Advisory team. As the Project Coordinator, you will support the implementation Diversity and Inclusion Project, an initiative dedicated to fostering positive behaviours and enhancing interactions among our staff, members, and volunteers.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the implementation of a targeted training program and developing resources to promote psychological safety and encourage positive behaviours that support our ongoing transformation. As the Project Coordinator, you will be involved across the full scope of the project from start to finish, ensuring all objectives and success criteria are met while collaborating with key stakeholders throughout the process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the coordination and delivery of a project aimed at enhancing LSV’s culture and wellbeing through education, resources, and initiatives that promote respectful interactions, improve relationships, and foster a positive environment for staff, members, and volunteers.
- Assist in the rollout of a targeted training program delivered via our partner network, designed to encourage psychological safety and support sustained positive behaviour change.
- Coordinate project activities to ensure effective implementation and tracking of progress. Provide regular updates on communications and action items to the Steering Committee and Project Team.
- Support the facilitation of reference groups, surveys, and other engagement forums to assist with data collection, analysis, and sharing of insights.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure meaningful engagement and provide opportunities for input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in reviewing and updating relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and resources to support the implementation and long-term sustainability of the project.
- Serve as a central point of contact for project-related queries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting notes, action registers, and progress reports.
- Provide coordination support to the Research & Health Promotion Team in scoping the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy, including stakeholder engagement and information gathering.

With strong communication skills, you’re committed to promoting respect, psychological safety, and positive behaviour across teams, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.
A qualification in social sciences, human resources, project management or related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in social planning or impact, people and culture, community development or a related field developing and implementing a range of learning and diversity campaigns, events and programs.
Ability to educate and advocate on disadvantage and other diversity and access issues with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated ability to support teams to meet objectives with minimal supervision and in a multi-task environment.
