ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Plant Operator (Maintenance), you will be required to operate a variety of machinery, either with RTO license or under the Mort & Co Verification of Competency Program. To ensure operations are completed safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements, including company policies and procedures, this key role will be responsible for:
- carrying out pen cleaning, maintenance of grounds and equipment, undertaking machinery operations and control including routine maintenance pre-starts per OEM procedures
- Ensuring that the health and welfare of livestock is given first priority
- ensuring machinery is kept in clean and safe working order
- carrying out duties in a manner that prioritises own health and safety and that of others
- communicating relevant information regarding faults with machinery being operated
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in maintenance of grounds and equipment, together with:
- Demonstrated skill, ability and experience across a variety of heavy equipment operations
- A focus on working safely
- An ability to work cooperatively with a team
- Good organisation and communication skills including an ability to use own initiative
