Mechanic/Machinery Operator - Tanbar/Davenport Downs

About the role

  • Experienced Mechanic/Machinery Operator
  • Will be required to work 3 weeks per month at Davenport Downs and 1 week per month at Tanbar

Key Responsibilities

  • Operation of CAT Graders (140H & 140M) maintaining station roads, drains and levees
  • Operation of Mack truck carting livestock as well as low-loader trailers
  • Operation of bobcat
  • Operation of volvo loader
  • The set up of a maintenance program including vehicles, trucks, earthmoving equipment, generators and small motors
  • Coordination of station work schedules and communicating clearly to ensure operator awareness.
  • Carry out repairs, services and overhauls as required

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring: 

  • A genuine interest in working and living on a remote cattle station
  • Hold a mechanical trade qualification with 2 years + post trade experience
