How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do:
- Perform a hands-on engineering and liaison role between design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and production teams to support efficient assembly, integration, and verification (AIV)
- Verify subsystem interfaces, fit, and functional integration meet design intent during assembly, integration, and test activities
- Coordinate activities across design, manufacturing engineering, and production to enable a smooth transition from design through manufacture to integration and verification
- Development and maintenance of the MBOM and integration logic (AIV plan), ensuring alignment between subsystem interfaces, verification approach, and build sequence
- Support the planning and execution of system-level assembly, integration, and verification (AIV) activities
- Support structured root cause analysis of in-process failures and non-conformances, supporting timely resolution of production issues and continuous improvement activities
- Support triage of production issues, coordinating between manufacturing engineering, responsible engineering, and production teams
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to support alignment between integration requirements and sourcing or part availability constraints, highlighting potential impacts to integration activities
- Participate in cross-functional programmatic and technical meetings to raise integration challenges, highlight risks, and support resolution of blockers
- Identify inefficiencies across design, manufacturing, and integration workflows, contributing to process improvements that enhance production flow and integration outcomes
- Support completion of integration-related design and documentation packages as required to enable successful vehicle integration
- Any other duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or a closely related field
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- Exposure to assembly, integration, and test (AIT/AIV) environments
- Proficiency with common industry CAD packages (Siemens NX preferred, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc)
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering documentation including mechanical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and test/verification procedures
- Internships or placements within a regulated manufacturing industry (Aerospace, Medical etc.) will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated professional leadership experience on projects or structured activities.
- Ability to work well in an integrated team including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managers
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to support root cause analysis and resolution of technical issues
- Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, communication and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
