Process Technician
Lynas Rare Earths has an opportunity for an Experienced Process Technician to join our team at the Kalgoorlie Rare Earth Processing Facility (REPF).
The Kalgoorlie REPF is a key strategic platform for critical mineral production, blending pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical process in an Australian first, mineral processing plant.

The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an experienced Process Technician ideally with Control Room experience, to join us on our journey and expand their processing knowledge.
This role, which reports to the Processing Shift Supervisor, will be responsible for the day to day running of the processing plant, including taking ownership of operating areas.
Our various areas will include kiln operation, leaching, reagent handling, water treatment, filtration, waste gas and control room. This role will also include some management of the various processing bulk materials used throughout the processing plant.
This role is offered on a Kalgoorlie-Goldfields residential basis only, working an even time 7/7 rotating roster of day and night shifts, 12 hour shifts.

Your responsibilities will include:
- The safe day-to-day operation of the processing plant including:

- Support remaining commissioning activities
- Operational duties
- Control Room operation
- Safe Isolation and Permitting processes
- Contributing to the development of safe working procedures
- Ensure a safe working environment is maintained
- Identification and control of hazards
- Ongoing and continuous housekeeping and improvement projects.
To be successful in your application, you should possess:
- Prior experience in a processing plant or chemical production environment mandatory
- Control room, Isolation, and/or Permit to Work operational experience
- Unwavering approach to safety
- Value teamwork and being a team player
- Strong time management and problem-solving skillsets
- Ability to attend work when rostered on
- Current High Risk Work License (WA) LF - Fork Lift
- WA unencumbered C-class drivers’ license essential, or above
- Must reside locally within the Goldfields region for our residential site
- Respirator policy in effect (clean-shaven/piercing-free not to affect respirator-seals)
- Full Australian Working Rights.
The relevant machinery our technicians safely utilize include;
- Forklifts (2 to 42 Tonne)
- Telehandler
- Skid Steer
- Overhead Gantry Crane
- Excavator
- Elevated Work Platform
- Tipper Trucks - HR Licensed.
It would be an expectation that all process technicians have qualifications and the associated experience to operate these pieces of machinery.
