About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail‑focused and organised Warehousing and Logistics Administrator to support the effective delivery of warehousing and logistics operations within Austal Defence Australia (ADA).
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of warehouse and logistics transactions within IFS, ensuring all activities are compliant, traceable, and aligned with established procedures.
You will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting remote warehouse receipting, coordinating stocktake activities, and ensuring visibility of inventory across both on‑site and subcontractor‑held locations.

What’s Involved
- Process warehouse and logistics transactions within IFS accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform remote warehouse receipting for subcontractor‑held inventory
- Validate delivery documentation against purchase orders prior to receipting
- Monitor and manage outstanding receipting to prevent backlog
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure system alignment with physical stock
- Support stocktake coordination, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
- Manage and maintain documentation for audit and traceability purposes
- Liaise with procurement, finance, suppliers, and warehouse teams to resolve issues
- Provide transactional and administrative support to warehouse operations
- Identify and escalate discrepancies impacting system accuracy and compliance
You’ll Need
Essential
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, or administrative support roles
- Experience using ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Pronto or similar)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy
- Effective communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable
- Experience supporting inventory across multiple or remote locations
- Understanding of purchase order and accounts payable processes
- Experience in manufacturing, defence, or maritime environments
