As a key member of the Secondary Leadership Team, you will lead the strategic direction of teaching and learning across the College, driving high-quality pedagogical practice, curriculum excellence, and data-informed improvement initiatives that enhance student outcomes.

About the RoleReporting to the Head of Secondary, the Dean of Teaching and Learning provides strategic leadership across all aspects of curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, academic achievement, and teacher professional growth. The role includes a teaching allocation of up to 0.4 FTE, enabling the successful candidate to remain connected to classroom practice while leading whole-school improvement initiatives.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leadership of curriculum planning, implementation, review, and innovation
- Oversight of assessment, reporting, moderation, and academic compliance
- Leadership of professional learning and instructional coaching
- Analysis of academic data to drive student achievement and improvement
- Management, support, and development of Heads of Learning Areas
- Oversight of NAPLAN, OLNA, WACE, ATAR, and SCSA compliance requirements
- Development of intervention and extension programs that support every learner to achieve their potential
- A Master of Education or Master of Educational Leadership.
- Current Teacher Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
- Proven success in educational leadership within a secondary school setting.
- Strong expertise in curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, and academic improvement.
- Experience leading and developing staff and leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and act on student achievement data.
- Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
- A passion for developing teachers and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- A personal Christian faith and a willingness to actively support the Christian ethos, values, and mission of the College will be highly regarded.
Applicants with experience in independent or Christian schools and a strong understanding of contemporary educational practice, innovation, and strategic school improvement will be highly regarded.
