The Role
Based in our Mackay operations, this is an opportunity to lead the end-to-end delivery of electrical manufacturing and installation projects within a business known for technical excellence, practical innovation and long-term customer partnerships. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, while building a stable, long-term career.
What you will be doing:
Plan and Deliver
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of electrical projects
- Develop, maintain and communicate clear project schedules across all phases
- Minimise project risk through proactive planning and effective controls
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, current and appropriately stored
Control, Report and Govern
- Manage project budgets, costs and revenue forecasts
- Track and report labour hours and expenses each week
- Maintain accurate revenue recognition and timely invoicing
- Ensure all legal and contractual documentation is completed and signed
- Implement contingency plans when project controls are at risk
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project delivery
- Lead effective project, team and client meetings
- Communicate progress, risks, milestones and expectations clearly
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction
- Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business and objectives
Quality, Safety and Improvement
- Deliver projects to internal and client expectations for quality, budget and timing
- Evaluate key deliverables to ensure traceability, compliance and client acceptance
- Work safely in accordance with WHS requirements, SWMS and risk assessments
- Identify and implement process improvements and more efficient administrative practices
- Demonstrated experience delivering electrical or industrial projects
- At least three years’ experience in a Project Manager role
- A Project Management qualification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and project profitability
- A proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver on time and within budget
- High-level communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP systems, with Pronto highly regarded
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project scheduling software and SharePoint
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and confident decision-making capability
