Key Responsibilities

Casual Stage 3 teachers will be required to:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for Stage 3 students
  • Follow provided programs, lesson plans and classroom procedures
  • Provide relevant feedback and information to the classroom teacher
  • Support literacy and numeracy development across curriculum areas
  • Respond appropriately to students’ individual learning and wellbeing needs
  • Maintain a positive, orderly and inclusive classroom environment
  • Apply the College’s student management and safeguarding practices
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Stage 3, teachers and support staff
  • Participate in pastoral care, playground supervision and other duties as required
  • Uphold the College’s Code of Conduct, child protection requirements and work health and safety obligations


Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold:

  • NESA-approved qualifications in primary education
  • Current NESA accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Sound knowledge of the NSW Primary Curriculum
  • Effective classroom management and communication skills
  • A demonstrated commitment to child safeguarding
  • A willingness to support the Catholic ethos and values of Rosebank College
