The Role

Working within a highly skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for:

  • Assembly and overhaul of underground mining equipment
  • Refurbishment and repair of longwall components
  • Mechanical maintenance and fault finding
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Maintaining safety and quality standards
  • Supporting apprentices and workshop activities as required
About You
  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in mining, manufacturing, heavy industry or industrial maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
  • Full working rights in Australia
Highly Regarded
  • Longwall or underground mining experience
  • Forklift Licence
  • Overhead Crane Ticket
  • Experience with Roof Supports, AFCs or BSLs
