Administrator- Aquatic Industry Services
Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society - Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.
Our volunteers, members, employees and partners work together with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, businesses and the broader aquatic industry, to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, organised and effective Administration Officer to join our Aquatic Industry Services team on a part time basis. Based in our Port Melbourne office, you will provide exceptional customer service to LSV's aquatic industry clients.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Lead Coordinator - Aquatic Industry Services, you will work as part of a small but dynamic team to:
- Manage the general day-to-day administrative tasks assigned by the Aquatic Industry Services team.
- Schedule Pool Safety Assessments and Mystery Guest Visits with aquatic industry clients.
- Process accreditations for the SwimSafe and Watch Around Water campaigns.
- Process licenses for the Swim and Survive program.
- Maintain the shared inbox of the Aquatic Industry Services team.
Essential
- Proactive and self-starting professional attributes, coupled with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to show initiative in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Working with Children Check.
Desirable
- Experience in a stakeholder-facing administration role within a regulatory, compliance or accreditation context.
- Experience working with volunteers, not for profit or similar workforce.
- Knowledge of water safety, lifesaving, Life Saving Victoria, Surf Life Saving Australia, and Royal Life Saving Australia.
