Our growing team of scientists, technicians, engineers and business professionals delivers quality and innovation through research, discipline, and forward thinking.Summary:The Business Development Manager will represent MediPharm Labs to clients, partners and stakeholders.   They will bring their in-depth expertise, knowledge and understanding of the North American cannabis market to help increase our market share through sourcing and developing key relationships with cannabis and cannabis related organizations domestically and internationally. Establish networks in the Canadian cannabis industry as well as demonstrated excellence working in the cannabis industry will be critical to the success of the candidate in the role.Responsibilities: Ensure that MediPharm Labs has a deep and current understanding of the international cannabis industry and of the challenges and opportunities specifically relevant to this industry  Drive and optimize the MediPharm Labs’ sales and marketing strategy and tactics, including drafting contracts, term sheets, and direct interaction with clients and industry stakeholdersLead efforts to identify and engage potential clients, assess value, negotiate service agreements and manage client relationships as well as continuously track and report results for managementMaintain close working relationships with company operations management to ensure alignment between market opportunities, business development activities and operations capabilitiesMaintain a client relationship management (CRM) system to ensure visibility of sales pipelines and transactionsManage, coach and mentor a Business Development team to achieve their potential and reach company sales goalsIdentify new service offerings, business lines, technologies and segments that present opportunities for company growthIdentify and evaluate partnership opportunities that enable the company to expand its offerings and create incremental value for clients and shareholders.Experience and Skills:At least 5 years experience in a business development or senior sales role involving strategic marketing, relationship building with cannabis clients, contract negotiation and account managementBachelor of Arts, Science or Business Administration is requiredSpecialist within cannabis sector – major companies, business models, stakeholders, regulatory environment and productsUnderstanding of analytical technologies and methods used in pharmaceutical and/or health product particularly high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)Proven business development expertise within the cannabis industryStrong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders and colleaguesExperience in building and developing successful sales development teamsMediPharm Labs is committed to providing accommodation for applicants with disabilities in its recruitment processes.
