The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Hospitality Coordinator we are actively seeking experienced Hospitality Assistants to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis.
The Role:
The Care Services Assistant plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice. Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals. Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned with residents’ preferred daily routines with a strong focus on:
- Meal choices and individual nutrition
- Consideration of allergies and food intolerances
- Enhancing the overall dining experience
- Assist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences
- Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
- Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
- Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience
- Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
- Prepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices
- Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required
- Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework
- Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required
To be successful, you will have
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- A compassionate and caring attitude
- Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
- Willingness to take direction from others
- Reliability and shift flexibility
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
- Complete a police check
- NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) cost refunded on appointment / and or a National Police check
